It reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and stayed there for ten weeks, giving Santana a total of 22 weeks at #1 from the album Supernatural, at that time only second to Mariah Carey's Daydream album, which three singles spending a combined 26 weeks at the top (this record has since been topped by Usher with 28 weeks). It won a Grammy for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.
