Maria Gaidar

Maria Egorovna Gaidar (Russian: Мари́я Его́ровна Гайда́р) (born October 21, 1982) is a Russian political activist and the founder of the Youth movement "DA!" ("Yes!") (Russian: "ДА!"). She is also the daughter of former Russian Prime Minister, Yegor Gaidar [1].
She is one of the leaders of The Other Russia organization and Union of Right Forces party. She is a fierce critic of Putin's government and has been briefly detained for involvent in peaceful dissenters' marches and for placing a propaganda poster under a bridge using mountaineering gear [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7][dead link] [8] [9] [10]. In connections with her arrests, she said that "Politics is becoming more dangerous. I think this is a message people want to put across - if you come to such an event, then you are risking your life" [11].
She also made extensive comments in press about poisoning of her father Yegor Gaidar in London simultaneously with poisoning of Alexander Litvinenko.
She is actively involved in Russian presidential election, 2008 and manufactured numerous video materials where Vladimir Putin is painted as anti-Christ who leads the world to the nuclear Apocalypse [12][dead link] or back to the USSR [13][dead link].
