Maria Filippov

Maria Filippov (born Maria Hadjiiska) is a Bulgarian ice skater. She has appeared on the British television programme Dancing on Ice as the partner of Duncan James. She has also taken part on the Australian version of the same show called Torvill and Dean's Dancing on Ice with model Jake Wall, which they won.

In 1991 she represented Bulgaria in ice dance, with her partner Hristo Nikolov, in the European Figure Skating Championships from which they withdrew [1] and the World Figure Skating Championships in which they failed to reach the final. [2]

In 2008 she appeared on Dancing on Ice partnered by singer Gareth Gates. They were voted out in week 9 (the semi-finals).
