Marya "Marie" Bolkoskaya is a fictional character in Leo Tolstoy's War and Peace.
After Lise, Marya's sister-in-law (Marya's brother's wife), dies giving birth to Nikolai Bolkonsky, Marya takes care of this little prince. She was sad about her father's death in 1812, even though prayed to god for him to be dead. She was also sad about her brother Andrey Nikolayevich Bolkonsky's death, but at the end she was happy to be married to Count Nikolay Rostov.
