There have been several notable women named or known as Marguerite de Valois:
- Marguerite de Valois, wife of King Henri IV of France. She was the daughter of Henry II of France, and the sister of three further Kings of France. She is the subject of La Reine Margot, by Alexandre Dumas, père.
- Marguerite of Navarre, also called Marguerite of Angouleme. The sister of Francis I of France, the wife of Henry II of Navarre, and the mother of Jeanne III of Navarre, she is also famous for her authorship of the Heptameron.
- Marguerite bâtarde de France, the illegitimate daughter of King Charles VI of France.
- Margaret of France, Duchess of Berry (5 June 1523 - 14 September 1574) (Marguerite de Valois) was the sister of Henry II of France, the daughter of Francois I of France. She married Emmanuel Philibert, the Duke of Savoy, as part of a treaty between the Duke, her brother, and the king of Spain. She bore him one child, Charles Emmanuel I, Duke of Savoy, who went on to inherit the Duchy.
