Margiad Evans

Margiad Evans is a Welsh novelist who died in 1958. She was a poet and novelist writing in the 30s and 40s. Her three most famous works are Country Dance, A Ray of Darkness and Autobiography.

Country Dance has recently been resurrected and championed as a lost classic. Termed the "Welsh Wuthering Heights" it was the first novel written in Wales in more than a decade to be serialised in BBC Radio 4's iconic Book at Bedtime in 2006.
