IMDb profile |
Marge and Jeff was an early American sitcom which aired on the DuMont Television Network during the 1953-1954 television season. Its sole claim to fame is the fact that unlike many other American sitcoms of the 1950s, it aired each weekday after Captain Video during its original run. The show starred and was written by Marge Greene. Each episode was 15 minutes long.
Most episodes of the show were destroyed after the DuMont Network ceased to exist in 1956. However, At least 20 episodes survive at the UCLA Film and Television Archive. UCLA records show that the show probably never had a commercial sponsor, and instead featured PSAs. It's unclear why so many episodes exist of "Marge and Jeff", considering that many DuMont Network programs which lasted longer and/or received better reviews have no or few surviving episodes.
