Margaret Wright (computer scientist)

Margaret H. Wright is the Silver Professor of Computer Science and Chair (as of 2008) of the Computer Science department at New York University, with research interests in optimization, linear algebra, and scientific computing.[1] Earlier at Bell Laboratories, she became head of the Scientific Computing Research Department in 1997,[2] and a Bell Labs Fellow (1998).[3]

She has served as president of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics[4] and is senior editor of the SIAM review.[5]
