Margaret Mazzantini

Margaret Mazzantini (27 October 1961) is an Italian writer.
Born in Dublin, she became a film, television and stage actor, but is best known as a writer. Her first work, Il catino di zinco (1994) was a Premio Campiello finalist. She won the Strega Prize with the novel Non ti muovere in 2002. A film of the the book was released in 2004 directed by her husband Sergio Castellitto.
She married Castellitto in 1987. They have four children. She lives in Rome.
