Margaret Hayes

Margaret Hayes (December 5, 1916 – January 26, 1977) was an American film and television actress

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she is perhaps best known for her role as Lois Judby Hammond in the film Blackboard Jungle. She married actor Leif Erickson, but they divorced after a month. With her second husband, producer Herbert B. Swope, Jr., she had a daughter, Tracy Brooks Swope, who is also an actress.

Margaret Hayes died in Miami Beach, Florida from liver cancer and hepatitis at the age of 61
