Margarella macquariensis is a species of marine gastropod mollusc in the family Trochidae, the top shells.

This top shell is endemic to Australia's Macquarie Islands, south of New Zealand.

It is found under stones at depths of about 70 m.
[edit] Shell description
The shell is moderately large and solid, depressed-turbinate, smooth and polished, the last whorl slightly expanded. There is a long, narrow, crescentic, partly callus filled umbilical cleft.
Coloration is uniformly ash-purple, without markings; deeper water shells are pale orange-buff.
The maximum shell height is 11 mm, and width 11 mm.
