Margarella antipoda rosea is a subspecies of marine gastropod mollusc in the family Trochidae, the top shells.

This top shell is endemic to New Zealand, found in eastern Otago in the South Island and in Stewart Island.

It is found under the holdfasts of giant kelp in the genus Durvillea.
[edit] Shell description
This species is the largest of the Margarella antipoda subspecies, and the most viable in colour, ranging from plain iridescent-white to wholly purplish-black, with others patterned with pink spiral lines, zigzag axial stripes, or general marbling in purplish-grey. The last whorl is expanded, and the umbilicus is narrowly crescentic and callus filled.
The maximum shell height is 13 mm, and width 12 mm.
