Mares de tempo
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mares de Tempo is an album by Susana Seivane.
Some very expensive production techniques have been used on this album. There is a CD plus a DVD showing performances of some of the songs. Although there are fewer musicians than the previous album "Alma De Buxo", it sounds as if there are more. If anything, it is over-produced, since the full-blasts of the ensemble sections are hard to listen to on headphones. The song "Muneira de Alen" is one that Susana had recorded on the previous album, this time given a heavier treatment. Almost all the tracks can be described a folk-rock and for the first time there is no acoustic guitar. The flutes and oboes which made her first album so sweet are also absent. This change probably won her a wider audience in the rock and world music market. The tunes and songs mostly come from Gallician Spain. Recorded 2004. Running time 53 minutes 23 sec.
