Marcus Siepen (born September 8th 1968 in Krefeld, Germany) is one of two guitarists in the Power Metal band Blind Guardian. For the biggest percentage of Blind Guardian's songs, particularly in more recent years, he has almost strictly played rhythm guitar, with most lead and solo work being performed by André Olbrich. He has also made a far lesser contribution to the band's songwriting than Olbrich, who splits most of the writing with vocalist Hansi Kürsch. Although Marcus is divorced and has a son, he is marrying again.

Although Andre and Hansi are both founding members of the band, there was originally another Markus in the band, Markus Dörk. He left shortly after the Lucifer's Heritage demos, and Marcus Siepen joined. Marcus Siepen has been a member of Blind Guardian for as long as the band has been named such; thus, many consider him a founding member.

He is also an avid skateboarder, something he is known to do before live shows and when on tour. In September 2004 Marcus broke his leg in four places while skateboarding.

He almost exclusively plays Gibson Les Pauls. On occasion you can see him play an ESP EC custom series.

Marcus is a member on a site called GuitarMasterClass.net [1]. He currently has two video lessons.
