Marcus Minucius Rufus (consul 221 BC)

Marcus Minucius Rufus was a Roman consul in 221 BC. He was also Magister Equitum during dictatorship of Quintus Fabius Maximus Verucosus known as Cunctator.

He was a political enemy of Maximus Fabius. He was against his delaying defensive strategy during the Second Punic War, however he finally accepted his commands after he saved his life during Hannibal's attack. After that he has been named his co-commander.
