Marcus Fitzgerald

Marcus R. Fitzgerald (born July 1, 1985 in Minneapolis, Minnesota) is an American football wide receiver for Marshall University. He is the young brother of Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald.

Fitzgerald attended Academy of Holy Angels High School in Richfield, where as a senior, he was named his team's MVP.
[edit] Collegiate Career
As a true freshman in 2004, Fitzgerald saw action in all 11 games and even saw starting time in two of those games. Against Bowling Green, Fitzgerald caught three passes for a season-high 60 yards. He finished the season with 12 catches for 146 yards.
In his sophomore season of 2005, Fitzgerald started the final nine games for the Herd. After missing the season opener with an injury, Fitzgerald bounced back against Kansas State with three catches for 49 yards. Against UCF, he had seven receptions for 88 yards and a touchdown. Against SMU, Fitzgerald grabbed a season-high eight passes for 69 yards and against Virginia Tech he had six catches for 67 yards. He had his season-long 30 yard reception against UTEP. Fitzgerald finished the season with 41 catches for 448 yards and two touchdowns.
In 2006, as a junior, Fitzgerald played in 11 games but only started six games. His stats also declined as he finished the season with 12 catches for 160 yards and a touchdown.
In his final season, 2007, Fitzgerald did not see action in the season opener against Miami and only had one reception for 7 yards in the second game of the season against West Virginia, both losses. He finished the season with a career-low 5 receptions for 71 yards.
