Marcus Brauchli

Marcus Brauchli is the outgoing managing editor of the Wall Street Journal. In 2007, NewsBios.com named him one of the 100 most influential business journalists in the United States. He announced his resignation from the post on April 22, 2008, after less than a year in office.
Brauchli graduated from Columbia College of Columbia University in 1983. On May 15, 2007, he succeeded Paul Steiger, who had held the position since 1991. Brauchli had previously held the positions of copy editor and foreign correspondent. He was a Nieman fellow at Harvard from 1991 to 1992. He is married to Maggie Farley, a Los Angeles Times correspondent. They have two children.
