Marcus Annius Verus Caesar (162-10 September 169), was one of the thirteen children born to Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius and Roman Empress Faustina the Younger.
In 166, he was made the first heir to the throne of his father’s. On 10 September 169, he died of natural causes in Rome. His brother Commodus, became his father’s new heir and later successor to his father’s throne.
