Marcus is an album by Jazz bassist Marcus Miller. It was released in 2008.
This is the US version of Marcus' previously released album Free. It is listed here as it has not only added tracks, but different mixes of the tracks (a simple check of the track lengths, courtesy of Allmusic.com reveals this fact), a different cover and a modified track order.
UK soul singer Corinne Bailey Rae provided lead vocals on the cover of the Deniece Williams 1977 song "Free", and Lalah Hathaway sings on "Ooh". "Higher Ground" is a song originally by Stevie Wonder, and "What is Hip" was originally performed by Tower of Power. "Milky Way" features the vocals of Keb' Mo' and "'Cause I Want You" has Shihan the Poet featured.
