Marcos di Silva

Marcos di Silva is a brazilian composer that was born in Bahia, Brazil, in 1977. He began playing acoustic guitar at the age of 16, but one year later decided to play electric bass. He got a Composition bachelor in School of Music of Federal University of Bahia in 2006. He studied composition, orchestration, tonal harmony, counterpoint and fugue in the classes of the professors Agnaldo Ribeiro, Flávio de Queiroz, Fernando Burgos, Ricardo Bordini, Wellington Gomes and Pedro Kröger. He is engaged in research since 2001 and is, since 2005, a member of the Genos research group.
