Marcos Roberto Silveira Reis (born on August 4, 1973, in Oriente, São Paulo), known simply as Marcos, is a Brazilian football goalkeeper who won the 2002 FIFA World Cup. He currently plays for Palmeiras.

He has been playing for Brazilian professional club Palmeiras since 1992 and is the first goalkeeper since 1999 after a injury of Velloso, the first-choice goalkeeper at the time. With outstanding performances in the Copa Libertadores 1999 he helped the team achieve the title, passing trough the Palmeiras' arch rivals Corinthians in the penalty shoot-outs in the quarter-final. In 2000 once again he faced Corinthians in the Libertadores, this time at the semi-final level, and again eliminated the rivals in a penalty competition.

In 2002 after a fantastic world cup participation with Brazil's team he received a proposal from the english team Arsenal, but the deal never occurred. In 2002 he got the first of a series of injuries that affected his career.

In 2003 he was the star of Palmeiras in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B and helped the team got back to the first division.

2008 is promising year for him, playing like the old times he helped Palmeiras win the Campeonato Paulista 2008 giving the team a condition of favorite to win the Campeonato Brasileiro 2008.

Marcos debuted on Brazil national team in a match against Spain on November 13th, 1999.

He was elected the fourth-best goalkeeper in the World Cup 2002, with incredible defenses especially in the game against Belgium and the final game against the Germany helped the team achieve the fifth title in the competition.

His last start for Brazil came in 2005 during the Confederations Cup, when he played in a 2-2 draw against Japan during the group stage.

On October 6, 2006, Marcos announced his retirement from national team play but he is still playing for Palmeiras, the only team he has played in his career.
