Marco Gastón Rubén is an Argentine football striker. He was born on October 26, 1986, in the city of Capitán Bermúdez in the Santa Fe Province of Argentina. In January 2008 he was signed by Villarreal CF and immediately loaned out to Recreativo de Huelva until June 30, 2008[1]
Rubén started his career with Rosario Central in 2004. In the Apertura 2006 tournament, he scored 7 goals in 17 games making him the club's top scorer. This brought him to the attention of several major clubs in Argentina and in Europe. Eventually River won the battle, paying $7.5 million for his signature.
