Marco Piva (b. 1952), who graduated at Politecnico di Milano University, has founded the Studiodada Associati, one of the best known[citation needed] design offices of the Radical Period.
[edit] Biography
Since 1976 he has been working in Italy and worldwide on interior, architectural, and industrial design projects.
In 1979 he founded Tecnodada, a company providing consultancy and specialized services for architectural and interior design projects, in Italy and abroad.
In 1986 he got elected to the presidential board of ADI (Association for Industrial Design).
[edit] The International Design Agency
In 1987 Piva created IDA, the International Design Agency, an Italian counterpart of a world-wide Design Network system. Such institution was the first Italian data bank dealing with and concerning industrial production in the sectors of architecture and interior furnishing.
Piva was also appointed committee member of the European Community Sprint Project, for innovation and transfer of technology.
[edit] The European Design Expert Association
Together with German, French and English designers, sociologists and marketing experts he founded "EDEA", the European Design Expert Association, a strategic consultancy group for design at an international level.
In 1992, with IDA and the EDEA group he organized the third edition of the European Design Awards at Seville, Spain.
In 1994 he founded Mouseion & Gallery Service, offering clear proposals in order to equip Italian museums with advanced ICT systems and services, necessary for functional updating.
[edit] The Strategic Consultancy
From 1993 to 1997 he worked as a strategic consultant of Expo Tour for matters concerning hotel design and international contracting.
Since 1997 he has been coordinating the Hot Group (Hotel Technologies Group), the first interdisciplinary group of companies specialized in hotel technologies.
Since 1998 he has been the "Tecnhotel Hospitality" Art Director.
[edit] H&C and Atelier Design
Together with Arturo Dell’Acqua Bellavitis Piva has founded H&C Design, an International Observatory of Hotel and Contract Design.
Still in 2002 he established “Atelier Design”, where R&D (research and development) are the fundamental keys of design. Here, neograduates can acquire the know-how and the operating methods necessary to become strong and innovative designers.

He is also work coordinator at the Istituto Europeo di Design (European Institute of Design) in Milan[citation needed].
