Marco Né (born 17 July 1983) is a Côte d'Ivoire football midfielder who, as of January 2008, is a free agent. He is a centre midfielder with playmaking abilities and excellent short passing. He was signed from Olympiakos to replace Yaya Touré, who departed for A.S. Monaco, though he has yet failed to break into the first team due to constant injury problems.
The midfielder, who has been capped once by the Ivory Coast, had attracted the interest of Germany's Hamburg SV, Dutch club PSV Eindhoven and England's Arsenal, where he had a trial in the close season.
Né had a pre-season trial period with Arsenal F.C. in 2004 along with fellow Côte d'Ivoire player Emmanuel Eboué, but unlike Eboué, Né failed to secure a transfer to the Premiership side.
After joining Olympiakos he suffered from injuries for the majority of his spell at the club. Failing to leave an impression, Ne was released by Olympiakos in the winter transfer period of 2008.
It is likely he will join the ranks of 8 time champion, French Ligue 1 team FC Nantes.
