Marcin Wadowita

Marcin Wadowita (also known as Wadovius or Campius) (1567 - 27 January 1641) was a Polish priest, theologian, professor and chancellor of the Jagiellonian University.

Born in Wadowice, where he later funded several buildings. He studied in Jagiellonian University in Cracow and abroad - in Rome. During his reign as a chancellor the Jagiellonian University has prospered. Ennobled in 1536.
