Marcin Urbas (born September 17, 1976) is a Polish athlete. He was born in Kraków.

Urbaś is the Polish national record holder over half-a-lap (19.98 seconds clocked in the semifinal of the World Championships in 1999, in Seville, Spain. Wind Factor: +1.7). Urbas is one of the four Polish athletes who brought the Polish national records in dashes up-to-the global standards: Marian Woronin 10.00 (9.992) over 100 m; Marcin Urbas 19.98 over 200m; and Tomasz Czubak and Robert Mackowiak(not a national record holder) over 400 m, 44.62 – the Polish national record, and 44.84, respectively. Urbas did improve the 20 year-old Polish national record of Leszek Dunecki[Footnote 1] [Footnote 2]

He is an accomplished indoor athlete: he won the gold medal over a lap indoor in the European Indoor Championships in 2002, and the bronze medal in 2005. Urbas has been part of the Polish national 4 x 100 m relay who won the silver medal during the European (outdoor) Championships in 2002.

Urbas's Season Best over 60 m indoor is 6.80 s and his 200 m Season Best is 20.84 s. He is coached, again, by Mr. Osik: the coach of the Polish national team of dashers (100m and 200m specialists).
