Marciano van Homoet (born 7 March 1984 in Rotterdam) is a Dutch footballer who currently plays for Barnsley. Van Homoet is a defender who made his debut in professional football as part of the Sparta Rotterdam squad in the 2004-05 season.
Van Homoet was signed by Barnsley on 8 June 2007.[1] He was originally known as Bruma, but was changed to Van Homoet in September 2007.[2]
After breaking a bone in his hand during pre-season, Van Homoet made his Barnsley debut in December 2007 against Sheffield United.
He has a younger brother, Jeffrey Bruma, who plays in the youth of Chelsea.
