Marching To Mars is a Sammy Hagar solo album. It features various different musicians on different songs. This is Hagar's first post-Van Halen album. It was released on MCA Records, which had by that point acquired his former label, Geffen Records.
The song "Amnesty Is Granted" was previously recorded by Meat Loaf. Sammy Hagar played guitar and sang backing vocals on Meat Loaf's version.
