Marcel C. Shipp (born August 8, 1978 in Paterson, New Jersey) is an American football running back currently playing for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League. He played his college ball at UMass.

Shipp played high school football at the Passaic County Technical Institute in Wayne, New Jersey.[1]

Shipp attended UMass and was a letterman in football. As a sophomore, he was a first team All-America selection. As a junior, he was a finalist for the Walter Payton Award. Shipp finished his career with 5383 rushing yards, which ranks sixth on the Division I-AA football career record list. In 1998 he helped UMass win a National Championship. In the game he rushed for a record 244 yards and 3 Touchdowns.

He signed as an undrafted free agent with the Arizona Cardinals on April 23, 2001, but did not play until 2002. In 2006 Shipp rushed 17 times for 41 yards and 4 touchdowns and caught 6 passes for 60 yards. His career stats are 590 rushes for 2156 yards and 10 touchdowns and 109 receptions for 912 yards and 3 touchdowns. He recently signed a three year contract with the Cardinals.
