Marc de Beauvau-Craon (1679-1754)

Marc de Beauvau-Craon, prince de Craon and of the Holy Roman Empire, grandee of Spain (29 April 1679 - 10 March 1754) was a French nobleman.

The son of Louis, marquis de Beauvau (1638-1703) and his second wife, Anne de Ligny, on 16 December 1704 he married Anne-Marguerite de Lignéville (1686-1772), countess of the Holy Roman Empire, at Lunéville. They had 8 sons and 12 daughters, including  :

  • Anne-Marguerite-Gabrielle (1707-1790) who married Jacques Henry de Lorraine, prince de Mortagne-sur-Gironde ;
  • Gabrielle Françoise (1708-1758) who married Gabriel Alexandre d'Alsace, prince de Chimay ;
  • Marie Françoise Catherine (1711-1787) who married Louis-François de Boufflers, marquis d'Amestranges ;
  • Charlotte (1717-1787) who married Léopold Clément de Bassompierre ;
  • Charles Juste (1720-1793) ;
  • Alexandre, comte de Beauvau-Craon (†1745) ;
  • Ferdinand, prince de Craon (1723-1790).

He was governor for the François de Lorraine, later Holy Roman Emperor, and administrated for this prince, with the title of viceroy of the grand-duchy of Tuscany.
