Marc Weiner

Marc Weiner (born May 17, 1955 in Queens County, New York) is a Jewish comedian, clown, puppeteer, and television producer. Born into the Weiner family as the middle child between his brothers Jonas and Jess, he is noted for creating and performing with his unique "head puppets" which consists of a human head and a small (in comparison) puppet body.

Weiner is most well-known for his children's television show Weinerville, which ran on Nickelodeon from 1993-1997, and hosted The 1994 Nickelodeon Kid's Choice awards Live at Nickelodeon Studios Orlando Florida along with the feed from the California Kid's Choice Awards. However, he was first a street performer who worked with Robin Williams and an improv comic who performed at The Comic Strip, Catch A Rising Star, and The Comedy Cellar in the late 1970's. In 1981, he was a writer and occasional actor on Saturday Night Live. Around this time he made a memorable appearance on the Bizarre Show with his hilarious puppet show called Rockin Rocko and Tony.

Since the cancellation of Weinerville, he has provided the voices of several characters on the Nick Jr. show Dora the Explorer a favorite of many preschoolers and starred in the show Wordville, also on Nick Jr. In the UK he starred in Trebor Mighty Mints commercials.

He currently resides in Stamford, Connecticut.

Also, on an episode of Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide, Marc Weiner appears as Ned's substitute teacher from elementary school. He tries his best to impress the kids so they can like him again.
