Marc Peyrade

Marc Peyrade was born on February 19, 1950. He did his first degree at the École Polytechnique in 1968, then at ENST in 1973, which prepared him for the DEA (Master of Science Research) in Computing. He completed it in 1976.

His education led him to a career in the heart of France Télécom. He was a researcher for CNET in network design and planning, from 1973 to 1989, then later was director of Company Communication Systems for France Câbles & Radio from 1990 to 1992. He created Expertel in 1993, for which he was president from 1993 to 1998. In July of 1998, Marc Peyrade was appointed director of Telecom Paris. He is currently the treasurer of ParisTech, a member of the Administrative Council for the Ecole Polytechnique and the president of the Mines-Ponts national competitive examination.
