Marc Herring

Marc Herring is a California and Connecticut based Multimedia Artist and the Executive Producer of Herring Media Group, an international communications design and production agency. Marc's past and present client's include: Live Earth / Washington DC with Al Gore, Yahoo! Inc., The Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, SFMOMA, The Smithsonian Institution, National Museum of the American Indian, ILM / Lucas Digital Ltd., GAP, Gannett, Lexus, RadioShack, Procter & Gamble, AP Television News and most major television networks and advertising agencies. Marc has collaborated with Mickey Hart, Jerry Garcia, R.E.M., and other performing artists in the creation of live events and touring concerts. His current projects with HMG include commissions for architectural and environmental media installations, global broadcast events and cultural heritage programs.

Marc's work has been extensively covered by the news media and presented in museums and universities throughout the world. In March, 2007 his work with the Yahoo! Time Capsule project was accepted by Smithsonian Folkways Recordings for future academic study.

Marc attended the University of Texas in Austin and briefly resurrected Black Mountain College on its' original and historic campus in Black Mountain, North Carolina.
