Marc-Édouard Vlasic (born March 30, 1987 in Montreal, Québec) is a Canadian NHL defenceman of Croatian descent currently with the San Jose Sharks. He was a second-round pick, acquired from the Calgary Flames in exchange for goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff. Vlasic was selected 35th overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. He played 3 seasons with the Québec Remparts.
He attended Collège Sainte-Anne high school for three years.
His nickname with the Sharks is "Pickles" and sometimes "Pic"(short for pickles) in reference to Vlasic Pickles.
He has three younger brothers, Thomas, Charles and James, the last two being twins. All three have promising potential careers in hockey. He vacations in Melmerby Beach, Nova Scotia.
