Marathahalli

Marathahalli is an eastern suburb of Bangalore, capital city of Karnataka, India.

Halli in Kannada (Local language) means village. An fighter aircraft named Marut had an accident in this area; So the area is called MarathaHalli. The famous 100ft Outer Ring Road of Bangalore passes through Marathahalli also.

The HAL airport is quite near to this place. The new Bangalore International Airport will be replacing this airport and starts its operation on 24th May 2008. Marathahalli is also very near to ITPL, one of the largest IT park of India.
