Maraimalainagar is a panchayat town in Kancheepuram district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

As of 2001 India census[1], Maraimalainagar had a population of 48,449. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Maraimalainagar has an average literacy rate of 72%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 80%, and female literacy is 64%. In Maraimalainagar, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.
