María Sánchez Lorenzo (born November 7, 1977, Salamanca) is a Spanish tennis player.
Her highest WTA Ranking has been World No. 33, a ranking she achieved on April 5, 2004.
At the 2005 French Open, Lorenzo beat reigning champion Anastasia Myskina in 3 sets in the first round, which became the first time the reigning champ of the French open lost in the first round. (U.S. Open champion Svetlana Kuznetsova had a similar incident when she lost in the first round of the 2005 U.S. Open to Ekaterina Bychkova.)
