María Eugenia Rojas

María Eugenia Rojas de Moreno (b. 1932) is a retired Colombian political figure and the daughter of former military dictator Gustavo Rojas Pinilla. She was member of House of the Representatives (1962-1964) and Senator (1966-1974). In 1974 she became the first lady to run for President in all Latin America, but just get the third position representing the National Popular Alliance (ANAPO:Alianza Nacional Popular), the party that she and her father created. Her sons Samuel Moreno Rojas and Iván Moreno Rojas are very important figures in the political life of Colombia.
