[edit] Fair use for Spyros Markezinis
Though this image is subject to copyright, its use is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:
- It is a historically significant photo of a famous individual, Spyros Markezinis, who masterminded Greek fiscal and monetary policy during the 1950s. Markezinis was later to become Prime Minister. The photo in question is historically significant, as it portrays Markezinis during his official tenure as Minister Without Portfolio in 1952.
- It is of much lower resolution than the original (copies made from it will be of very inferior quality).
- The photo is only being used for informational purposes.
- Its inclusion in the article adds significantly to the article because the photo and its historical significance are the object of discussion in the article. Rastapopoulos 21:22, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
