Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and I am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?

I'd appreciate learning your own views, for instance your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.

You have several options freely available to you:

• If you can relieve my concern through discussing it here, I can stop worrying about it.
• If the two of us can't agree here, we can ask for help through Wikipedia's dispute resolution process, such as requesting comments from other Wikipedians. Wikipedia administrators usually abide by agreements reached through this process.
• You can keep your contributions history under a new username. Visit Wikipedia:Changing username and follow the guidelines there.

I wasn't aware that my username might not meet Wikipedia's policy. I chose it because it is the username I use on many other sites. I have now reread Wikipedia:Username policy. Could you explain what the problem is? Maproom 23:11, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

Your username is the same as the website you are constantly adding to various articles. IrishGuy ^talk 14:10, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

"constantly adding to various articles"? Can you give even one example, let alone justify your use of "constantly"?

Thanks for uploading Image:L-Stirum wappen.gif. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
