[edit] Stub-rating for Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man

I'm asking if you would consider changing the rating on this article. I think it's as complete as it's going to get, as I've listed every appearance AVM Man made in comics (unless Mark Waid and Co. are planning on bringning him into 52). If I'm reading the ratings correctly, this article could rate a B-class--good for the casual reader. Please let me know what you think. Konczewski 18:03, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the kind response. Konczewski 20:51, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Nice work!

Looks like you've made quite a dent in the unassessed Comics Project articles! Well done! --GentlemanGhost 01:52, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Request for third party assistance

Sure, glad to help. Please give me till Monday, so I have time to look things over carefully. --Tenebrae 17:56, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

OK. I've taken a sampling of User:Maple Leaf's Comics Project Talk-page boxes with importance ratings. Let me say first that I had no links to any of the allegedly insulting or inflammatory comments that User:Richard75 may have been leaving; I think it goes without saying that any such comments are not to be tolerated. We can criticize actions — hopefully in a constructive, positive and polite way — but we don't make it personal and we don't name-call. That just creates anger, which leads to flame wars, which just gets unnecessarily unpleasant.
That said: I do see where Maple Leaf provides a service. While he or she adds the box to articles as new as two days old, he or she has also added them to such pages as Talk:Dormammu and Talk:Wolfpack (Marvel Comics), which had sat boxless since 2005 and late 2006, respectively.
What I think might help is for Maple Leaf to add a brief explanation — maybe three or four sentences, using language from Wikipedia:WikiProject Comics/Article Classification — each time he or she adds a box. There's even a built-in link phrased "Please explain the rating here" that appears in each box. That would make it easier for others to add their own thoughts, and create a community consensus for either keeping that initial springboard or changing it.
Without seeing any of the back-and-forth between Maple Leaf and Richard75, I don't know if there are other issues involved. I hope some of these observations have helped; I'm flattered at your both asking me, and let's keep our fingers crossed that I haven't made things worse! Happy Wiki'ing, -- Tenebrae 01:33, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Mark Twain

Couldn't see why the Freemasonry cat had been added, until I did a little digging. Twain was indeed a Freemason, and we didn't have him on the List of Freemasons, to which I have now added him. Good catch! MSJapan 21:28, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] 1935 Detroit Tigers season

Hi Maple Leaf. Thanks for the positive comment in the talk page of the 1935 Detroit Tigers season. I put a lot of work into it, and it's nice to have the feedback. I also have in process pages for all three of the other Detroit Tigers World Series championship seasons: 1968 Detroit Tigers season, 1945 Detroit Tigers season, and 1984 Detroit Tigers season. [edit] Re: Template:NHLTeamSeason

Personally, I've never had much use for +/-, but it is a statistic that the NHL loves. I added the syntax necessary to allow the +/- leader to appear in the infobox. Feel free to add it as you desire. Regards, Resolute 00:14, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] March 2008

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to 2001 St. Louis Rams season. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Otolemur crassicaudatus (talk) 22:13, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

You need to use inline citation. Otherwise it becomes difficult to understand from where the information came. So you can restore the information by providing appropriate inline citation. Otolemur crassicaudatus (talk) 22:20, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
Carefully read Wikipedia:Citing sources. You will understand what is inline citation. Otolemur crassicaudatus (talk) 22:28, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
On one part I would agree with Otolemur, that the material in the article was not properly sourced and to the strictest sense of the law, he can remove it. Now where I disagree is the process. He probably should have just asked you on your talk page before outright removing everything, and he really shouldnt have templated you with the generic template. Now the main question is whether or not the sources you had/have cover all the material in the article. If so, then not using inline citations is not grounds for removing content. Many, many, many articles do not have inline citations, we would have to delete most of the content on Wikipedia if that was the case. So, if you feel that the sources cover all the material, than just add the content back into the article, and add some inline citations. If you need some help on how to do that, feel free to ask me (I may not be able to explain it until later tonight) or ask, Otolemur, as he should be able to help. « Gonzo fan2007 (talkcontribs) 22:45, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
Basically, if the content that was removed is verifiable by the sources given, then feel free to re-add the material. If all the article needs is a few inline citations, I can help out with that. I left a note on Otolemur's page explaining my views, for your reference. And your welcome « Gonzo fan2007 (talkcontribs) 22:57, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Game Logs

Good day. Your comments are out of line regarding the Game Logs. You have no right to tell me what to do. I am working very hard. On various baseball articles, there are many logs and roster templates that are empty. If the bullying persists, you shall be reported. Maple Leaf (talk) 19:14, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Is this a joke? What part of my comments were out of line? And you really think you can bust me for that? Go ahead, try. ● 8~Hype @ 20:15, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

No joke here. You should review WP:CIVIL. Based on the comments of other people on your talk page, you have rubbed others the wrong way. I do not want to start a flame war because no one wins. You are a hard, tireless worker and I like the energy that you bring. The impression I get is that your way is the better way.

The only reason I feel that your comments regarding the game logs were out of line is that you did not explain why I should stop creating an empty game log. Your comments came across as if you were in charge. If you would have explained why the game logs should not be empty (either a style issue or a policy for the WikiProject), I would have reacted differently.

What happens when the 08-09 NBA season starts and other users have different styles or points of view they would like to add to the article?

You may be highly focused and dedicated but there needs to be give and take. You're obviously a smart guy and I think you know that you cannot always have it your own way. If you are blocked from using Wikipedia, you will have no one to blame but yourself. The bottom line is that I do not want to see you blocked because your dedication will be missed. Cheers Maple Leaf (talk) 20:56, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for the compliments. But here is my point regarding your game log for the 1946-47 Boston Celtics season: This season was played over 60 years and ofentimes scores don't even exist on the internet for such seasons. Basketball-Reference is the only source I know. Still, it is useless to just add the game log template, since no new information is added. Therefore, it would be better to add filled out game logs. Wikipedia isn't made for flooding it with text. It is made for constructive edits, and I only consider a filled out game log as a such. Please don't take this as offense.
P.S.: I have updated all the NBA season by team templates to a better format. Let's go, Celtics! ● 8~Hype @ 21:52, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
You are using the wrong red color and hyphens, not dashes, in 1946-47 Boston Celtics season#Game log. Take the current game log as an example. ;) ● 8~Hype @ 22:55, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] WP:MOSCAP

Hey fellow Canadian, I just wanted to drop a note about WP:MOSCAP#Section headings. ==Notable Transactions== should be ==Notable transactions== because transaction in this context is neither the first word of the heading nor a common noun. —LOL (talk) 21:37, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Soxrock

Yeah, I'm not really sure why. I imagine it had something to do with this place, because he still contributed there after he was gone from here.   jj137 (talk) 02:39, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re:2008 Saskatchewan Roughriders Season

No problem. The biggest thing with this update is the page is inevitably going to become weighty with all the transactions. Especially, considering that each week during the season, there will likely be a minimum of 4 transactions each game, with the Reserve List players being shuffled.
