maybe we can do without the (Optional/Progressive), the background colors and thick gray borderline is enough --TheYmode 12:33, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

Sure, that is pretty good. I just added the progressive/optional and background colors there because the user Prod (who used the thick borders) was insistent on making the character evolution crystal clear. Although I would like it to look more like this:

...or something to this effect. I realize the colors for the first job column single the others out, but I hope to get that appearing better soon. Moreover, it seems we have varying tables, so we should come to a consensus on this soon. Slof 16:28, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

I like the 2nd one, except for the first job say level 10 in the heading, but (level 8 or 10) for the magician. The colours help I think, but if the colours could be changed so that the 3 progressive class colors seem like subcolours of the main 1st job. Similar to what is done for the warrior path. The main is blue, and the three 2nd jobs are various shades of blue. I tried doing it myself, but I couldn't get the colours to look nice. --Prod-You 19:30, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

how about these colors? no 8/10 on the job title, only (Level 8) for the magician cuz hes the exception. a light color for the beginner so it will blend more with the rest of the templet. I think Prod's borders + the colors work well to illustrate the character evolution. --TheYmode 21:22, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

I like it :D. -- Prod-You 05:54, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

IIRC the magician class change can only be done at level 8 or 10, though not at 9. Of course, I haven't checked that in a while so my memory may be playing tricks on me :P. -- Prod-You 05:45, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

The level 10(or 8 for magicians) is the minimum level requirement for the 1st job advancement, the actual advancement can be made at any level after that(or not at all in the case of perma-beginner). Of course any delay making the advancement beyond the minimum level will only result in a lost of precious Skill Points and make that charecter weaker. Actually my very first charecter i made when i first started to play MS was a magician and i made the mistake of advancing on level 9(along with other mistakes like putting AP on HP and STR...)--TheYmode 18:43, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
