Summary
This template allows the placement of mapping data into the article, and also incorporates {{coord}} to provide a Geo microformat.
A good source of data is Geoscience Australia's place name search. Note that this template accepts only decimal input, but will output in degree-minute-second format.
Usage
- To use this template
- Copy the blank template below into the relevant space in your document, usually after the "External links" heading per Manual of Style
- Enter values for the fields as outlined in the table below.
- Preview.
- Save the page with an appropriate edit summary.

Fields
All fields used by this template are optional. The following fields are available:

The templates adds articles that are outside this range to Category:Pages requiring geodata verification. Entries under sortkey "." are generated by this template.
