Mapsos (Greek: Μαψός), also with the o accented is a settlement in the southern Corinthia prefecture. Mapsos is in the municipal district of Koutala and the municipality of Tenea. Mapsos is located southwest of Corinth, west-southwest of Athens, north of Chiliomodi, northeast of Tripoli and east-southeast of Patras and Aigio. Mapsos had a population of 180 for the settlement.

Its geography includes residential areas around the area and farmlands around the villages. Its area are made up of hills and mountains. The mountains that features grasslands and barren land along with forests dominates the outer areas. Farmlands dominates the area and mainly consists of olives and cattle.

Mapsso has approximately 15 km of paved roads, of which 10 km are residential. Selinia also has approximately 16 km of hydro lines as well as phone lines.

Houses were stone-built until the 1950s and did not surpass modern-style homes until the 1980s. It was linked with pavement in the 1980s. Most of the homes are abandoned today.

After World War II and the Greek Civil War, much of the population left for larger towns and cities especially the nearby Patras. The population did not decline as much.

A small terrible catastrophic fire struck around the area on July 17, 2007 that burnt about thousands of hectares on the mountains outside Mapsos. Firefighters along with helicopters and two planes battled the blaze and fought it from entering the village and its farms. The fire occurred in the afternoon hours and continued through the evening hours and ended. About 15 buildings and properties suffered some damages. It turned what used to be a beautiful and prestigious scenery became an ugly undemanding ashy scenery. One of the farmers saw a flock of fifty sheeps burnt. Ten hydro poles burnt and collapsed to the burnt ground which resulted blackout to the area along with Chiliomodi, much of its residents were evacuated to nearby villages to avoid problems.

Its main production are fruits including watermelon, melon, figs and vegetables including corn, tomatoes, potatoes, onions, cucumbers and others as well as dairy, livestock, olives and others. The majority of the population are based in other businesses as well as agriculture.

Mapsos has a church, and a square (plateia), its nearest school are in Koutalia, lyceum (middle school) and gymnasium (secondary school) are in Chiliomodi.
