Maple Leaf, Ontario

Maple Leaf is a village located on Ontario Hwy 62 in the municipality of Hastings Highlands, in Hastings County, Ontario, Canada.

Joseph Davis, one of the first postmasters, named the village Maple Leaf. When the post office burned twice, the second time in 1936, the mail was kept in the homes of the postmasters until the post office was moved to the village's general store in 1957. The General Store was built by Henry Stewart in 1934.

In 1948, a lumber mill was built at Maple Leaf by C.A. Wasmund, and became a main source of income for the village and surrounding area.
