Maorichiton schauinslandi is a species of chiton in the family Mopaliidae.

This species is endemic to New Zealand's Chatham Islands.

[edit] Description
This chiton is similar to Maorichiton caelatus but with stronger sculpture and with less variable coloration. Base colour is pale greenish or bluish, with longitudinal wavy streaks in dark brown, and sky blue in the valve interior. The girdle is olive brown.
Length is up to 47 mm, and the width is up to 23 mm.
