  • My name is Manfred Riebe and I have about 20 namesakes in Germany.
  • Born in 1938 in Elbing / Westpreußen (West Prussia).
  • Member of the Protestant Church.
  • Address: Max-Reger-Str. 99, D-90571 Schwaig bei Nürnberg
  • Profession: Before retirement I used to be a secondary school teacher and I hold a degree in Business/Economics like MA.
  • Stages of my life after the post-war expulsion: Elbing (West Prussia), Stegelitz bei Burg (Sachsen-Anhalt, Russian occupied zone), Burg bei Magdeburg, Altforweiler (area of the River Saar, at that time under French occupation), Magdeburg, West-Berlin, Konstanz (completion of grammar school education), Villingen in the Black Forest (apprenticeship) and Munich, Mannheim und Nuremberg, „Germany's treasure chest“ (my second home since 1964).
  • Grammar school education was funded through manual work in the building trade, paper rounds, work as a security guard etc.
  • Higher education was financed through savings from my apprenticeship, work as an educator („Präzeptor“) at the boarding school of the Johann-Sebastian-Bach-Gymnasium, Ott-Heinrich-Stift in Mannheim-Neckarau, und in Nuremberg through manual work and paper rounds.
  • Board member of the Verein für deutsche Rechtschreibung und Sprachpflege e.V. (VRS) - Initiative gegen die Rechtschreibreformhttp://www.vrs-ev.de/vorstand.php#riebe (Society for German spelling and language cultivation - initiative against the spelling reform).
  • Head of the Initiative „Wir Lehrer gegen die Rechtschreibreform“ (Teachers against the spelling reform).
  • In the German Wikipedia I started writing articles in February 2004.
