I have requested a move of this article to Mande languages. The reason: this language family is most widely known as the Mande languages. Giving linguistic family Bla the article 'Bla languages ' is customary at Wikipedia; but note also the change from 'Mandé' to plain 'Mande', which is a far more common term. At Mande languages there is a redirect at present, so I can't move. mark 09:13, 4 Mar 2005 (UTC)

And it is done, thanks to Ta bu shi da yu. For the record: the former location of this article was Mandé, which is now (of course) a redirect. mark 14:04, 4 Mar 2005 (UTC)

I don't understand this move - most of the article is not about the language. It seems to me to need either splitting into two or moving back Hughcharlesparker 00:13, July 17, 2005 (UTC)

It needs splitting. There is enough to write about either of the two to warrant two separate articles. — mark 13:52, 17 July 2005 (UTC)
And I see what caused the confusion: after the move a lot of material pertaining to Mandé but not to the language family per se was added. I'm moving this material to Mandé. — mark 09:55, 15 August 2005 (UTC)
