[edit] Mandalorians: Identity and Language

I found this in Star Wars Republic Commando: Triple Zero, in the intro to chapter 6, and thought it might could go in this article, but had no idea on how to go about it, or if it should actually go in at all...

In five millennia, the Mandalorians fought with and agaist a thousand armies on a thousand worlds. They learned to speak as many languages and absorbed weapons technology and tacics from every war. And yet, despite the overwhelming influence of alien cultures, and the absence of a tru homeworld and evn species, their own language not only survived but changed little, their way of life and their philosophy remained untouched, and their ideals and sense of family, of identity, of nation, were only strengthened Armor does not make a Mandalorian. The Armor is simplu a manifestation of an impenetrable, unassailable heart.

[edit] Merge from Mandalorian language

Per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mandalorian and now Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mandalorian language, I have redirected Mandalorian language here. Please merge what content you wish from the previous version of that article. cab (talk) 01:32, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

Merged in most of the article, with some minor adjustment for context. What I am doing with my life? 217.43.140.110 (talk) 02:12, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Gender and context

What does this sentence mean?

One notable feature of the fictional language is that it has no gender, relying on context to
convey the proper message.

I don't understand it grammatically, afaik, English has no grammatical gender either, but it rarely is a reasoon to add context. Has someone mixed up gender with pronouns or something? 惑乱 分からん * \)/ (\ (< \) (2 /) /)/ * (talk) 11:17, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
