Talk:Manchester and Leeds Railway
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
There was NO good reason to remove this article to emerge as the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway. It is NOT the same thing: admitting that the M&LR became part of the L&YR, it was not the only one: the L&YR has been described as "amalgamations, leases, agreements, extensions, widenings and deviations" [Railway Year Book 1912, Railway Publishing Company] and as such the major parts of it should have separate articles.
